Wood Sculpture Modern, organic, and unique, these sculptures explore natural patterns, shapes, and processes, and use the natural grandeur of local trees as integral to that exploration. The variety of work in this category is ever expanding, but is unified by a natural aesthetic to the work, resulting in art that looks like it could have been found growing in some green and secret forest. |

Carved Wood Bowls These bowls showcase the beauty of our natural, local heritage. Only a simple, organic wax is used, letting the natural subtle beauty and color of this native wood shine through. In each bowl, as unique as the trees they have come from, the special shapes and curves of the bowl react to the grain and shape of each tree. Notice how the wood grain bends and twists, swirls and eddies in the surface of the bowl, reminding us that this is not only a work of art, but also a work of nature transformed and reinterpreted. |

Boxes The box is the universal wood craft, and are great ways to explore themes and concepts in style and technique. This gallery shows the wide variety of boxes the artist has designed and created over the years. Many of the boxes are one-offs, and will not be made again. Others are boxes designed for publication (Scroll Saw Magazine). Even more of these boxes will be featured in the upcoming book set for release in 2012. |

Jewelry This is art for everyday, or wearable art. The artist believes strongly in not wasting any lumber. A log will enter the wood shop, and the only thing that will leave it is sawdust and projects. All of the smallest wood scraps are recycled into jewelry. This has been a very popular product line, and can be seen adorning necks of women and men all around the world. |
|||
Furnishings Everyday objects should be artful too. This gallery shows a few of the furniture pieces created by the artist. These include a bassinet made from reclaimed barn wood, and a asian style lamp with tree branch screens which project a shadowy forest on the walls. |

Toys The rocking bullfrog transforms the traditional rocking horse into a new delight for the smallest art enthusiast in the house. The rocking bullfrog was recently debuted at the Mayfair Arts Festival. Click here to see the video. |

Fountains Art for the out of doors, these hand carved concrete fountains are made one at a time, and explore a variety of ways to make water dance, dapple, and drip. A video of the most recent fountain, shown in action, can be seen Here |

Planters The perfect companion for the water features are these unique and fancifully planters. Also carved one at a time, the planters come in a wide assortment of shapes, colors, and form explorations. |
|||
Wall Plaques and Stepping Stones Smaller but by no means less interesting is the line of outdoor wall plaques and stepping stones. Made from cast concrete poured into molds made by the artist, these garden ornaments are as durable as they are unique and artful. |
|||
Concrete Sculpture Explorations of natural patterns transferred into solid concrete, these limited edition pieces provide striking focal points in the landscape. |
|||
Patterns A collection of patterns have been featured in articles written by Thomas Haapapuro for Scroll Saw Magazine. In addition, 30 new patterns and woodworking projects will be published in his upcoming book to be released by Fox Chapel Publishing in 2012. Thomas Haapapuro also runs a web site, Modern Wood Patterns, where a wide array of unique and artful patterns can be purchased. |
